Project overview
Summer.fi is a decentralized finance platform that enables users to manage leveraged positions, automate strategies, and interact with multiple DeFi protocols in a more controlled and structured way. The product is designed for experienced DeFi users, while progressively lowering cognitive load through clearer interfaces, safer defaults, and more explicit representations of risk and automation.
My work focused on shaping the product experience across critical financial interactions, balancing advanced functionality with clarity, predictability, and user trust.

Product approach
The product was approached with a strong emphasis on mental models and decision-making. Rather than hiding complexity, the design focused on structuring it: surfacing the most important information first, progressively revealing details, and clearly communicating consequences before critical actions. Special attention was given to moments involving risk, automation, and irreversible transactions, where clarity and user confidence are essential.

The core experience of Summer.fi was designed to guide users through complex DeFi actions while maintaining a strong sense of control and predictability. Key flows were structured to help users understand what is happening, why it matters, and what the potential outcomes are before committing to an action.

System & scalability
As the platform evolved, design decisions were made with scalability in mind.
Patterns, components, and interaction rules were designed to support new strategies and protocol integrations without breaking existing mental models or increasing UX debt.
This approach helped maintain consistency while allowing the product to grow in scope and complexity.
Rebrand & visual evolution
In the second quarter of 2023, Oasis.app identified the need to rebrand and establish a clearer identity, following recurring confusion with the homonymous Oasis Protocol. The design team was tasked with defining a new visual direction for the product, later launched as Summer.fi, exploring multiple concepts and approaches. My contribution focused on a concept inspired by time, cycles, and seasons, translating these ideas into a graphic symbol that represents the continuous rhythm of daylight, from sunrise to sunset.
Brand concept
The proposed concept draws inspiration from the passage of time and the changing of seasons.
Summer was chosen as a metaphor for growth, continuity, and cycles, translating these ideas into a visual system that reflects progression, rhythm, and balance.
